Day 1: Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Dades Valley

Your Marrakech Desert Tour 4 Days begins with an early pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech, where you start your journey across the High Atlas Mountains. As you travel through the winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka pass, you will enjoy amazing panoramic views, small Berber villages, and beautiful natural landscapes. Along the way, there will be several stops to take photos and relax. You will then arrive at the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a traditional clay village and UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can walk through its narrow streets and discover its history. After some free time for lunch, you continue to Ouarzazate, known for its film studios and desert scenery, before driving through the Valley of Roses with its palm groves and small villages. By the end of the day, you reach the Dades Valley, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hotel surrounded by mountains.

Day 2: Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, you continue your adventure through more stunning landscapes as you travel towards the Todra Gorges, one of the most impressive natural sites in Morocco. Here, you can walk along the river between the high canyon walls and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. After your visit, the journey continues through desert landscapes, palm groves, and traditional towns like Erfoud, known for its fossils. In the afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, where the Sahara Desert begins. From here, you switch to camels for a unique experience, riding across the golden sand dunes while enjoying the silence of the desert. During the trek, you will stop to admire the sunset, a magical moment with incredible colors over the dunes. You then arrive at your desert camp, where you are welcomed with mint tea before enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner. In the evening, listen to local music around the fire and spend the night under the stars in the heart of the desert.

Day 3: Full Day in Merzouga Desert

This day is dedicated to fully experiencing the Sahara Desert without rushing. After watching the sunrise and having breakfast, you will have time to explore the region around Merzouga. You can visit nomad families who live in the desert and learn about their simple and authentic lifestyle. The journey may also take you to Khamlia village, where you can enjoy traditional Gnawa music and discover local culture. Throughout the day, you will travel through different desert landscapes, including black desert areas and wide open plains. In the afternoon, you can relax at your accommodation, walk in the dunes, or try activities like sandboarding. This extra day allows you to truly connect with the desert, enjoy the silence, and take your time. Dinner and overnight stay in a desert camp or hotel in Merzouga.

Day 4: Merzouga → Draa Valley → Marrakech

After breakfast, you leave the desert behind and begin your journey back to Marrakech. The road takes you through the beautiful Draa Valley, one of the longest valleys in Morocco, filled with palm trees, kasbahs, and traditional villages. You will continue to Ouarzazate for a short break before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again. Along the way, you can stop to enjoy the views and take photos.
